Fred Plunkett / President and Owner
The accidental
graphic designer.
One computer. One program.
One unexpected beginning.
Back in the mid-90s, Fred Plunkett was working in the Office of Family Planning. Home computers were finding their way into offices, but most of the team was still using DOS systems with green text.
Then a new Windows computer arrived. For someone who had grown up experimenting with machine language on a Texas Instruments computer, it was an invitation to explore. Among the programs was Paintbrush.
The office needed a logo for a teen pregnancy prevention initiative. So Fred gave it a try. That first logo might not stand up to today's standards, but it was the spark for everything that followed.
“That was the moment I accidentally became a graphic designer.”
